According to the National Center for Education Statistics review English and Math tests for grades 4, 8. English scores for 4th grade proficient levels decreased by 37% between 2017-2019. English 8th grades basic scores dropped 73% between 2017-2019. The pandemic has made education a colossal disaster. The effect has essentially set students back by at least 2 years.
